MUSIC DOWNLOAD: Seun Laoye - Expression [The Drum Jazz Piece] || @laoye_seun

'Expression' is the second single release from Seun Laoye, the American based-Nigerian musician, skilled drummer, songwriter, composer, co-producer and recording artist. Also cousin to popular Nigerian recording artists/producer, Nikki Laoye & Xblaze.

In the new single - 'Expression', he delivers an unforgettable symphony on the drums within the frames of a captivating jazz piece, effortlessly showing forth the musical prowess and talent, usually exhibited by The Laoye Clan.

Speaking about the song, Seun shares:

“Expression is a Gospel instrumental piece, and personally for me; it's my own simple way of saying thanks to God, the giver of all good and perfect gifts, just as Psalm 150 says.

The inspiration for Expression came at the dawn of July 9th 2016, 4 months after my first single - Ki'le o lese featuring Rev Niyi Adams in March 27th, 2016. So I contacted my amazing producer - Cleave Ekpe, we discussed the sound, warmth and most importantly a very resounding melody line that will resonate within listeners’ mind and I am so grateful to God that it came out exactly the way I wanted it.

Special thanks to Sunny Umoru Peters [Sunnybass] and Garrett Gleason [Guitarist].
Also, I want to dedicate Expression to my late loving father - Engr Elkanah Adelekan Laoye, he was a major influence in my music career. And to my family, friends and fans, a big thank y'all for believing in me and supporting my music”.

Expression was recorded, mixed and mastered at Blueroom Music Studio, USA.

VIDEO: Neville D - Pray Ft. Judith Sephuma & Patrick Duncan || @NevilleDMusic @Judith_sephuma @PstPDuncan || #SayNoToXenophobia

In April 2015, the xenophobic attacks spread to Johannesburg, South Africa's largest city. Locals were reportedly looting foreigners properties and attacking immigrants in general, forcing hundreds of migrants to relocate to police stations across the country.

The Malawi authorities subsequently began repatriating their nationals, and a number of other foreign governments also announced that they would evacuate their citizens. As of April 19, at least six people have been killed in the attacks, and more than 300 people have been arrested.

Xenophobia in South Africa has awoken some kind of unrest across the globe which has burdened the renowned South African Gospel Artiste, Neville D to STAND UP and SPEAK UP to God and the people of South Africa to say NO to xenophobia as he teams up with other SA recording artistes, Judith Sephuma & Patrick Duncan.

South Africa is better than this. We are all Africans!

''It’s a new era, a new turn in the tides of journey as a nation steeped deep in the ashes of partisanship, corruption, bad governance and a host of other vices.

We mark an end to the reign of terror over Nigeria, we hear the echo of a sound from Judah, the roar of the Lion, declaring the rise of a new sun upon every heart, it’s the day of His power.'' ~ Pst. Chingtok Ishaku & Nathaniel Bassey
