Michael Pounds is a Nigerian contemporary Christian singer-songwriter and recording artist from London. He is the founder of Praise Warriors [a ministry of "Warfare in Praise"].

Just before his new album gets launched, he decided to release a new song ''Yahweh'' off the new album.
''Yahweh''  is a song that praises God on a different level. It really gets the body moving with a touch of Ghanaian chorus. He is currently working on his first album which will be launched soon.

About Michael Pounds 
Mr. Pounds is a singer-song writer. He enjoys playing drums and keyboard in his leisure time. He is also a member of Praise Warriors, a music ministry which he founded himself.

His aim is to honour God with his voice and body. He is a fantastic dancer, he is energetic, dynamic and prophetic in praise and worship. His single ''All I Live For'' was released in 2011 by Moreh Hill Music.

Being from an African background, he is able to sing in many languages in Africa including Ghana. His latest single - ''Yahweh'' has a touch of Ghanaian in its chorus. His passion for singing in Ghanaian tongue stems from his Ghanaian wife.

In July 2010 he was nominated for a category in the African Gospel Music Awards held in London. Michael believes that his greatest Award is to make it to Heaven. Michael Pounds is a member of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, London.

In April 2015, the xenophobic attacks spread to Johannesburg, South Africa's largest city. Locals were reportedly looting foreigners properties and attacking immigrants in general, forcing hundreds of migrants to relocate to police stations across the country. 

The Malawi authorities subsequently began repatriating their nationals, and a number of other foreign governments also announced that they would evacuate their citizens. As of April 19, at least six people have been killed in the attacks, and more than 300 people have been arrested.

Xenophobia in South Africa has awoken some kind of unrest across the globe which has burdened the renowned South African Gospel Artiste, Neville D to STAND UP and SPEAK UP to God and the people of South Africa to say NO to xenophobia as he teams up with other SA recording artistes, Judith Sephuma & Patrick Duncan.
